If I hear 'tea bag' as a verb one more time on the news today, I am going to punch somebody. Even A-Coop said it. (This is my 1st attempt at mobile blogging!)

that is funny that the media is using that term. especially with the sexual connotations it has.

lets just say, be careful when you put "tea bagging" in the google search field

Believe me, it's intentional, and ignorant. Almost as ignorant as the Republican mouthpieces like Coulter and Hannity trying to claim it as a victory for Republicans. Tea Parties grew out of the same movement that made Ron Paul popular, Libertarianism and has more to do with their central philosophy of "get government out of my face" than any other. It's been going on (much smaller) since Bush got into office, so it's definitely not a republican only thing.

And the sexual connotations... imagine if you will, a "bag" on the male anatomy, that holds a pair of orbs. Next imagine placing that "bag" on the face of another person (while I was in the military it was done exclusively as a humiliating joke with accompanying photographs, and I'd imagine in college fraternities it's the same deal)

It's where I heard about it, I've never seen or participated. Nor had the desire to...

Actually, a friend of mine, very straight-laced conservative protestant kid, told me about it, he left his roommate a real tea-bag on his pillow as he left for his next duty station, along with a note about it being the first intercontinental tea-bagging in the world.
